The Groundwater Reduction Program (GRP) is committed to conducting ongoing research, so that the best, safest and most cost-effective decisions are made regarding water solutions for the citizens of Montgomery County.

The resources in this section of the site include comprehensive construction and conservation information, as well as environmental studies and engineering research conducted to meet the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District’s groundwater reduction mandates. Some of the studies are extremely technical, but we want you to have every possible resource at your disposal. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We’d be happy to guide you through the work we have done.

The SJRA received the following comments related to the draft GRP Contract released on December 21, 2009. Our original intent was to receive all comments by March 1, 2010, and then prepare and distribute a new draft of the GRP Contract by mid-March. Because of a continuation of contract discussions with the City of Conroe, there will be a short delay in the finalization of the new draft. We anticipate sending out a new draft of the GRP Contract on or about March 25th together with our responses to various comments submitted.
